Dr. Kim was inspired to pursue dentistry after a personal experience with a compassionate dentist who helped him overcome severe dental anxiety. Through this experience, he learned the powerful impact that kindness, sincerity, and empathy can have on a patient’s life. Dr. Kim understands that orthodontics is not only about creating beautiful, confident smiles, but also about improving overall health, including sleep health. His goal is to treat every patient like family, providing care with the highest level of attention, compassion, and sincerity.

Academic & Work Experience

Dr. Eugene Kim is a Board-Certified Orthodontist and a Diplomate of the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine. He earned his dental degree with honors from the University of the Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry. Following dental school, Dr. Kim completed his orthodontic residency and obtained a Master of Business Administration at Roseman University of Health Sciences in Henderson, Nevada.

Recognizing the critical role orthodontics plays in sleep health, Dr. Kim completed advanced training in dental sleep medicine through a fellowship program at the University of the Pacific, Stanford Sleep Medicine Center, and the San Francisco VA Medical Center. This multidisciplinary training provided him with a comprehensive understanding of orthodontic management for patients with sleep-disordered breathing and nasal obstruction. In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Kim serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Orthodontics at the University of the Pacific.

Personal Life

Outside of his professional life, Dr. Kim prioritizes time with family and friends. He enjoys staying active, spending time outdoors, and continuously learning new activities. He also looks forward to traveling to experience new cultures and cuisines from around the world.
